Our mares are carefully selected from all over Europe and our amazing facilities at Blackwater ensure that every foal is given the very best opportunity to excel. 

Blackwater Equestrian is a family run business that is passionate about breeding show jumping horses that can compete on the world circuit.  

Artificial Insemination and Embryo Transfer

We are able to take mares for artificial insemination using either chilled and frozen semen. Mares undergoing embryo transfer can then be flushed onsite; we can arrange transport of the chilled embryo to a dedicated centre for transfer into a recipient mare.

Broodmare Boarding

We have a small herd of permanently boarding mares and young stock at Blackwater . If you are looking for somewhere to board your broodmare, we welcome you to come and meet us and have a look at our facilities. 

Veterinary Services

The veterinary services that we offer are carried out by Mollon & Partners Ltd Veterinary Practice. We can organise everything that your mare needs to aid producing that all-so-important foal. Veterinary packages are offered on an optional basis and all work is billed direct to the owner. Veterinary packages include all visits, routine stud work, and ultrasound scans until your mare is confirmed in foal.
